Kimberley City Council has approved the 2024 BC Winter Games Legacy Grant allocations.
The funds allocated come from interest earned on legacy funds received from the 1980 and 2008 BC Winter Games and the 2018 BC 55+ Winter Games.The funds are held by the Kimberley and District Community Foundation.
The total amount of funding this year was $7,592.65 and will be distributed as follows:
- Freewheelers Youth Mountain Bike Program: $1,110
- Kimberley Nordic Club: $1,128
- Kimberley Minor Hockey Association: $1,094
- Kimberley Skating Club: $1,122
- Kimberley Ultimate Frisbee League Society: $160
- Western Canadian Blind Golf Association: $1,120
- East Kootenay Adaptive Snow Sports: $1,061
- Kimberley Elks Branch 90: $797
