Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the north of East Kootenay including Invermere. Severe thunderstorms could develop with strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
The thunderstorm watch area extends from the East Kootenay and encompasses a wide swath of the province including Kelowna, Vernon and Merritt.
